Clonazepam ( Klonopin )

Diphenhydramine ( Allerdryl, Benadryl, Dytuss )

Diphenhydramine ( Allerdryl, Benadryl, Dytuss ) is a sedative and antihistamine. Diphenhydramine ( Allerdryl, Benadryl, Dytuss ) is used frequently as a sleeping pill. Diphenhydramine ( Allerdryl, Benadryl, Dytuss ) is also given to people with Parkinson's Disease to decrease stiffness and tremors. Diphenhydramine ( Allerdryl, Benadryl, Dytuss ) can also be used in the treatment of cough, drug-induced Parkinson's, motion sickness, mucositis from radiation therapy, and the common cold.

Strengths:

Capsules:
25mg,50mg

Cream:
1%

Elixir:
12.5mg per 5ml ( 14% Alcohol )

Spray:
1%

Syrup:
12.5mg,13.3mg per 5ml

Tables:
25mg,50mg

Dosages: Actual dosage must be determined by a physician.

Normal dosage:

If under 18 years of age, Only if under the care of a pediatrician or child psychiatrist.
18 to 60 years of age, For sleep 50 mg to 70 mg. For insomnia 25 mg.
Over 60 years of age, Lower dosage increased cautiously.
Over 65 years of age, Do Not Take.

Use for 2 or 3 days first and if not effective this drug should be stopped.

Oral:

Start : 25 mg to 50 mg 4 to six hours about.
Maximum : 300 mg in 24 hours.

Problems with:

Liver Function: Lower dosage should not be a problem.
Kidney Function: Lower dosage, as needed ever 12 to 18 hours.

Take With: With or without food.

Full Benefits In: Right away.

Missed Dose(s): If within one hour take, if over an hour skip and then continue on your normal schedule. Never Take a Double Dose.

If Stop Taking: Do not stop without consulting your physician.

Warnings

Do not drink alcohol when taking this drug.

Do not take this drug if you are taking central nervous system depressants like antihistamines, hay fever medicines, sedatives, narcotics, anesthetics, barbiturates, or muscle relaxants.

The habit-forming potential is none and no long term use danger.

Do not take this drug if you are pregnant.

Do not take this drug if planning to become pregnant. Do not take if you are breast-feeding.

Children may take this drug,but most be under the care of a pediatrician or children's psychiatrist.

Do not take this drug if you are over sixty-five.

Do not use If: You had negative reactions to drug in the past.

Inform Your Doctor If:

  • You had negative reactions to this drug in the pass.
  • If you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription drug.
  • If you plan to be under anesthesia or having any surgery in the next few months, also if you will be undergoing any medical tests.
  • If you have taken an MAO inhibitor in the pass two weeks.
  • If you have asthma, glaucoma, urinary problems or an enlarged prostate.

Diphenhydramine ( Symptoms or Effects )

Common: Dizziness, dry mouth / nose, or drowsy / sedated.

Rare: Nausea / vomiting,headache, coordination problems, blurred vision, tightness of the chest, wheezing, abnormal heartbeat, nervous / restless, confusion, insomnia, flushing, seizures, hallucinations, problems urinating, nightmares, or skin rash.

See physician always: Nausea / vomiting, headache, coordination problems, blurred vision,tightness of the chest, wheezing, abnormal heartbeat, nervous / restless, confusion, insomnia, flushing, seizures, hallucinations, problems urinating, nightmares, or skin rash.

Stop taking and see physician NOW: Tightness of the chest, wheezing, abnormal heartbeat, nervous / restless, confusion, insomnia, flushing, seizures, hallucinations, problems urinating, nightmares,or skin rash.
