Anaphylactic Shock


A life threatening allergic reaction, typically affecting the cardiovascular system, respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract and skin.Anaphylactic shock is a type of allergic reaction, in which the immune system responds to otherwise harmless substances from the environment. Anaphylactic shock is a life-threatening acute, systemic type of allergic reaction that occurs when a person has become sensitized to certain allergens.  After sensitization to an allergen, subsequent exposures to the allergen can produce a severe allergic reactions. This anaphylactic allergic reaction is sudden, severe, and involves the whole body.

Anaphylactic shock is caused by a massive release histamine and other substances. These anaphylactic substances cause constriction of the airways, causing breathing difficulty and often abdominal cramping, vomiting, and diarrhea.
